Proposed uses contained within this publication are for information purposes only and will require further exploration. If firm proposals are taken forward, any proposed use will be subject to the relevant consenting regimes at that time prior to construction and commissioning. The proposed development of Kilroot Energy Park provides the opportunity for an array of lower carbon and renewable energy technologies to be deployed on the site, with a total expected output capacity of over 700MW. If taken forward, this proposed diverse mix of generation, with its focus on cleaner energy, will ensure that Kilroot can continue to play a hugely important strategic role in providing secure and stable electricity supply to consumers in Northern Ireland.
